I started reading "Eat Pray Love," which was given so many good reviews and then even made into a movie...but c'mon, I don't want to hear her whine about her depressing life!
The pie cookbook looks awesome. We went to a friends house a few weeks ago, she often makes apple pies, but since peaches are in season, she made her first (and likely last) peach pie. It was SO delicious, but too messy and hard to take the flesh off the pit and cut each one into slices, she said. Looks like a peach pie on the cover...wonder what their recipe suggests? ♥ I hope your granddaughter enjoys it! I will be checking that blog out.
I am so happy that you talked about St. John of the Cross and the dark night of the soul. No one I know ever knows what I am talking about when for what ever reason we are allowed to walk through one and be in one. I was in one and I couldn't understand it then I ran across that book and when I say, it saved my life I truly meant it. It made sense of what I couldn't describe.
I love the quote you used, because I thought the same thing and felt some of the kinship of when we are in the midst of a dark night of the soul.
The pie books are wonderful looking.
Thanks for sharing.Farm Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00998621464797636686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7512869338404805014.post-43363901794232904522013-07-26T07:34:35.206-07:002013-07-26T07:34:35.206-07:00That video is absolutely beautiful. As a matter of fact, I am eating a big slice of homemade peach pie for breakfast this morning, as I type this :) My mother made it yesterday but we were all too full to have any last night. I told her Pie For Breakfast is a grand thing!M.K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09205619221345704689noreply@blogger.com
